Foundation
Founded in 2005, Los Gatos Ballet Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a Mission to inspire and cultivate appreciation and love of dance by providing quality educational and training programs, superb performances, and collaboration with other arts organizations. Through our supported programs, we build character and empower people dance.
Youth Program
This is an enrollment-based program for ages 4 to pre-professional. Our extraordinary staff facilitate training with a holistic approach, supporting and challenging the dancers in their physical, mental, artistic and emotional development. Through training, performance, and wellness programs, the dancers learn to pattern awareness, resilience, and excellence on the road to self-mastery.
Drop In Program
This program offers drop-in classes for teens and adults who need more flexibility of time and commitment level. High-quality performance opportunities are also offered through an audition process.
Pilates Program
Our dedicated staff of movement/dance professionals have spent their careers studying alignment, coordination and integration. As certified Pilates instructors, they bring their expertise on a whole new level.
Choose from a variety of Pilates Apparatus and Mat classes. The Apparatus studio is equipped with a sprung floor, marley surface and mirrored walls. It is set up with the full range of spring-resistive Pilates equipment: Trapeze Table, Wall Units, Reformers and Chairs. Private and Semi-Private classes are provided in a boutique setting.
Pilates is an excellent conditioning program for everyone. It improves core strength and stability, with a focus on creating balance. As awareness is the key to change, you will learn proper bio-mechanics and efficiency of movement, giving you a sense of ease in your body. As a mind-body discipline, you will feel refreshed and rejuvenated.
Facility
Los Gatos Ballet is located near downtown Los Gatos. It is in walking distance to Vasona Park, Fisher Middle School, and Daves Elementary. Our studios are equipment with the essentials for health & safety. There are four state-of-the-art studios with sprung floors, dance-specific marley surface, mirrored walls and high-end sound systems, as well as a Pilates apparatus studio.
