This spring, we are excited to bring back, Coppélia, a wonderfully comedic ballet that became part of Los Gatos Ballet’s repertoire in 2009. This playful story brings us to a small town where villagers are happily preparing for their annual Harvest Festival. The village’s eccentric alchemist, Dr. Coppelius, has designed a mechanical doll who appears to be so lifelike that she fools everyone into believing she is alive. Confusion and hilarity abound as the town’s new young fiancés, Swanilda and Franz, continue to follow their own curiosities about this beautiful “girl”. Audiences of all ages are certain to be enchanted by this family-friendly comedy!

Repertoire
Los Gatos Ballet has 6 full-length classical ballets in it’s repertoire including, Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland and Coppélia, including our most recent additions: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Little Prince, Carnival of the Animals, and Peter and the Wolf.
