Drop-In Program Workshops

Dance for Teens & Adults

An Exploratory Workshop Series

Saturday, 9am-2pm:  February 21  |  April 11  |  August 15

This adult workshop series, designed for our Drop-In Program dancers, offers a fresh and thoughtful approach to ballet technique. Drawing from alternative movement modalities, each workshop supports the development of balance, coordination, and functional strength while honoring the individuality of each dancer’s body. Rather than prioritizing rigid form or aesthetic perfection, the emphasis is on exploration, sensation, and intelligent alignment—cultivating awareness from the inside out.

Through guided inquiry and practical tools, participants are encouraged to move with greater clarity, efficiency, and responsiveness. The work invites curiosity and adaptability, creating space for discovery and personal insight alongside technical refinement. Dancers leave with a deeper sense of connection to their movement, increased ease in their bodies, and expanded possibilities for how ballet technique can be embodied and expressed.

We are excited to host the following presenters for this Workshop Series: Shaina Leibson, Joanna Ramos, Marcie Ryken, Mariana Sobral, and Yuka Sugiura, each bringing a distinct perspective and depth of experience to this shared exploration.
